No newcomer to urban living, Robert Bergazyn, Managing Member of DSM Development Co., L.L.C. and President of Bergazyn Associates, Inc., a construction consulting firm, brings the learning accrued over forty years of work in Chicago, Dallas, New York, Philadelphia, and Los Angeles, to name a few, to Des Moines. His expertise derives from a combination of professional experience and real-life familiarity with urban condominium living. Professionally, Mr. Bergazyn has provided services as an advocate for corporate entities, real estate developers, and property owners in the complex building construction process, which involves many diverse interests, skills, loyalties, and disciplines. During the twenty-four years since the founding of Bergazyn Associates, the company has participated in several hundred million dollars of construction projects as Partner, Investor, Construction Consultant, and Construction Manager. Projects have included building renovations and modernizations, industrial and facility expansions, high- and mid-rise residential condominium and rental projects, parking facilities, environmental overview process programs, site evaluations, and pre-acquisition and property physical analyses.
The Architect
Baldwin White Architects offer architectural, planning, historic renovation, interiors, and graphic design services. Our designs focus on the technical and behavioral needs of the client, resulting in several design awards for projects ranging from colleges, libraries, historic renovations, and Iowa’s AIA headquarters, to interactive learning centers, banks, health facilities, and hotels. Our aim is to create designs that inspire wonder, excite the imagination, and instill trust and security in our customers.
